Okay, I’m launching something very special, and I’ve decided
to start it on here (rather than my other blogs,beview.blogspot.com or
thelollipophouse.co.uk). Basically, I dug out an old vintage white shirt from House
of Mother’s-Wardrobe and for the past three days I’ve been thinking up different
ways to wear it. (Yes, I know you wear it by putting both arms in and doing the
buttons but I’m talking skirts/blazers/heels/bags/jewellery etc). On Day 3
(today), I realised it’s actually been really fun so far, and although I’m not
much of a scientist, I love an experiment. And I love a challenge. Which is why
I don’t think 3 days is long enough…
The white shirt is a wardrobe staple – I wore them yoinks
ago in primary school, and yoinks later they’re fantastic for
work/weekends/going out and yes – even for a casual lazy outfit. When trends
are constantly changing, the white shirt is the one item (as well as jeans!) that
has stuck around, and always will. Especially now that the weather is too hot
for your beloved grandpa jumpers, I think it’s time for the white shirt to take
centre stage.
Join me for the next 30 days where, hopefully, I’ll be
uploading a new white shirt outfit every day. I’m sure Mumma WhiteShirt has
some more shirts lying around somewhere, and I promise I’ll do my best to be
original! I’ll also do my best to find the best celebrity and street-style white
shirt wearers, and high street shirts as well :)
Let the challenge begin…
