It's also that time of the year (besides Award season) when I am hit with major wardrobe envy. Now, I know this is completely off-topic to white shirts, but if you think about it dresses and shirts are both fashionable. Therefore... on a fashion blog, I'll deem it perfectly acceptable. Let's begin.
HITS (Clockwise from bottom):
Amy Adams looks like a goddess - can I have her hair please?
Dakota Fanning looks like Cinderella here! There's something very simple but angelic which I like (though I'm not sure it's completely age-appropriate). Kristen Wiig always manages to stand out - she's "dressy" and classy but not too OTT. Plus the length of the dress is cute. Nina Dobrev, that is one long train! It works perfectly with her tan. (If I ever wore it, I would be paranoid 24/7 that someone would stand on the dress!. Doutzen Kroes works the monochrome look beautifully and Emma Roberts is stunning in mustard yellow, a very hard colour to full off. I don't know if it's intentional, but I do wish the front was less creased...

MISSES (L-R):
Kristen Stewart was recently named the Best Dressed Woman in the World (according to Glamour) but I really don't see it here! This would look fine at a premiere, but for the Met Gala? Noway! (From afar it looks like she's done a dress-n-trainer combo too. Chloe Sevigny - that's a weird dress... The Met is usually about elegant gowns, and if opting for the short option, style notes should be taken out of the other Kristen (Wiig)'s book. And Karolina Kurkova would look much better if you could see her hair. It's just my opinion, but I really do not get her outfit.
NEARLY THERE (L-R):
Lately, Rooney Mara's always seen in gothic-type dresses and this is nice, but I wish it wasn't see through. Or if there was a lighter underskirt to showcase the lace. Camilla Belle is stunning as usual but the V slit doesn't have to be thaaaat deep to show off cleavage! And one of my friends also mentioned that she actually looks plastic here...
My favourites:
I'm a big of Hailee Steinfeld's and I like that she (mostly) dresses her age and looks lovely. This is a really pretty dress and I like the embellished detail. Jessica Alba has everything matched really well - from the dress to the hair colour tone to the make-up to the bag. Top marks for both :)
And finally, what's this on the red carpet?!That's right - IT'S A WHITE SHIRT! Thanks, Alexa Chung.
